The Goondiwindi Picnic Races has been a tradition for over 50 years and has grown remarkably over the years to now be recognised as Goondiwindi’s biggest social event. The committee is made up of a group of young people that are dedicated to creating a fun day out for all.
The races are held in early April and Gates Open at noon, with the first race kicking off just after lunch. Entry is around $20 including evening entertainment.
Individual trackside and lawn view marquees are available and offer an ideal venue for hosting private functions. The Picnic Races Committee can organise a package to suit you, including private marquee, race tickets, and food and beverages, but you better be quick as it’s first in best dressed.
Leave your car at home and catch the COURTESY BUS to the Picnic Races! Buses leaving every half hour to and from pick-up points all over town.
