Our History

E&E Waste has been a local Goondiwindi business since 1986, when Shane and family, began a humble mechanical repair business, virtually in their back yard. This successful little business gradually grew and diversified into, amongst other things, waste disposal. In 2002 E&E Waste was officially created and Shane and his team of dedicated local workers set about conquering the waste disposal market. Today Shane is joined by his Sons Luke, as operations manager and Ned, who’s ‘learning the ropes’.

The E&E team have tended to do things a little differently – like designing and making our own sturdy steel bins when it became obvious that purchasing pre-fabricated plastic bins at inflated prices would not have been a smart move – That kind of attitude hasn’t changed, in fact it’s led to E&E Waste gaining domestic wheelie bin services in the areas of the Goondiwindi Regional Council, Wambo Shire (Dalby Regional Council) and the Gwydir Shire Council. We also provide a commercial ‘front-lift’ bin and a skip service (3 to 8 cubic metre skips) for building sites, on farm waste management and general clean up for just about any purpose. Oh yeah, and we work on weekends!

Over the years Shane has reacted to the needs of local people and businesses. This led to a few failures, but many more successes, like the most reliable Crane Truck Hire company in the South Burnett, which has become an integral part of the local economy  through transportation of cotton and irrigation related equipment and machinery such as tillage equipment, shipping containers and on site installation of head walls and motors etc. In addition, E&E Container Hire service was perhaps the very first truly local company prepared to sell and hire shipping containers for on-site and mini storage in the Waggamba Shire. Our newest acquisition is a 250 horsepower, 3 tonne capacity articulated Front-end Loader for efficient onsite spill clean-up and general loading providing greater flexibility in the type of jobs we’re able to handle.

Recently we sold our freight business to a number of local stakeholders so that we could focus more strongly on our core businesses – Waste disposal and Crane Truck Hire. The freight industry has become too “cut-throat” and with fuel prices rising, it has transpired as a very wise business decision, putting E&E Waste in an excellent position to continue providing local people with the best possible service.

After all, as Shane puts it… “Service is our business”
